The welfare arm of the young and strong ministry also known
as “RESTORERS OF HOPE” is modelled to reach out
to the less privileged in our midst through Gods kind of love.
The public’s understanding of the word needy is often
materialist and is strongly skewed to prevalent economics factors. Sadly we
fail to see other factors that have had a very drastic effect on people’s way
life in particular and their chance to leave their live well. These factors
could be behavioural, identity crisis or loss of spiritual bearing. RESTORERS OF HOPE is set out with the intention of
building relationship with the advantaged while addressing their physical,
emotional and spiritual needs. We challenge the “can’t do it “attitude.
We build self-esteem, great destinies and wield moral
authority via uppercasing partnership, WORD of FAITH and PRAYERS. We
care for people among us in ways that encourage self-sufficiency rather than
prolong dependency;
Various programs are being designed to tackle the challenges
of dependency mind set head on. Welfare recipient must attend skills
acquisition classes or get some form of secular education to enable them seek
employments to jobs they will quality for eventually. In our little way, we
have drawn up plans to introduce a few of these programme to set a few of us
off. It is important for us to see welfare as catalyst and initiating agent,
and not the way to go forever. Welfare beneficiaries must therefore make effort
to know their talents and callings in other to discover their destinies. You
start small. Our commission shares that belief too. It only becomes a problem
if you choose to remain small.
